“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, because the LORD has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound” (Isaiah 61:1, NKJV)

     Jesus came to set the spiritual captives free by saving them from a life of sin and evil through a transformation of the heart and soul. At one time, we were all in that condition of wretchedness. The Blood of Jesus' sacrifice clearing us of our guilt and shame, the unmerited love and grace of God, the renewing of the Holy Spirit, and the washing of our minds by the Word of God, are just a few of the ways God describes to us about the life-changing process taking place in those He is now saving as a people of His own. Everyone needs a Savior, and only God through His Son, Jesus Christ, is able to save.

     Several times a month, we are led of the Spirit of God to take the message of the good news of Jesus Christ behind bars to those who are otherwise shut out from the world. Presently, we visit the Bayside State Prison systems in Leesburg and Ancora, NJ. There is always a need for more volunteers.
